Stores Owned By Famous Families

Long before Adam Levine became a rock star, it was his father’s name that was seen in lights (or, at least on the awnings of his successful M. Fredric clothing stores). In the mood for some six degrees of shopping separation? Here are a few retailers who are relatives of stars:

M. FREDRIC
Southern California

M. Fredric was founded in 1979 by Adam Levine‘s aunt Mardi (the M. in M. Fredric) and his father, Fredric. Adam’s dad actually ditched his career as an attorney to pursue a more positive work environment, so you can bet customer service is top priority at these boutiques. The stores serve women, men, and children by stocking stylish contemporary accessories and apparel. If you’re ever in Southern California, you can shop at one of these ten M. Fredric locations.

POPZ TOPZ

John Legend‘s dad Ron Stephens has always had a talent for tailoring, but his designs hit a high note when he “remixed” an old straw hat that made many folks asking him, “Man, where’d you get that hat from?” Popz Topz puts its unique products together in Pennsylvania and the brand is sold in several stores across the country, but no matter where you hang your hat, you can always get one from the online store. Most styles are $85, but some run as much as $140.

FAB-U-LUS
Barbados

Rihanna revealed in her March 2014 Vogue that her “jewelry’s all fake” and that she gets a lot of it “from my mom’s boutique in Barbados. Her shop’s called FAB-U-LUS.” But while that’s one of the best confirmations of the shop’s existence one can get, the store doesn’t have as  big a social media presence as its most famous customer, so it makes finding the exact location a bit of a bust. Word on the Internet is it’s on Rickett Street in Bridgetown, Barbados next to a place called Unlimited Collections near the Parliament Buildings.

EDUARDO DEPANDI NAPOLI
5518 Wisconsin Ave.
Chevy Chase, MD 20815

Giuliana Rancic‘s father Eduardo DePandi started working as an apprentice tailor at the age of nine in his native Italy. His eponymous store opened in October 2013 in the Washington, DC area and was featured on an episode of Giuliana & Bill. E!’s G actually gives a lot of credit to her dear dad for her own sense of style, and for being behind many of husband Bill’s suits.
