Emily Maynard cut into a special cake to make the announcement to her family in March 2015. To copy this cake idea, just have your doctor seal an envelope with your child’s gender written down inside and then give it to your baker, who can whip up pink or blue batter and some gender-neutral frosting so you won’t know until you have a slice!

Event planner Mindy Weiss ran with the “Blue or Pink, What Do You Think?” theme of Giuliana Rancic and Bill Rancic‘s gender reveal party in October 2012.
