Helen Mirren visited Arnold, CA, USA’s Calaveras Big Trees State Park in July 2020 and stood on top of a huge tree stump to explain, “this incredible tree was cut down to be displayed by PT Barnum as no one in the East would believe there were trees this big. I hope we have learned since then.” She also added, “it’s always good to hug a tree.”
