Star Blow Dry Salons

You don’t need an entire glam squad to get a blowout as good as a celebrity who’s about to shoot a slow-motion shampoo commercial. You just need about forty bucks and an appointment at one of these star-approved salons that’s specializing in smoothing your locks:

Stylist and designer Rachel Zoe believes hair completes any look, so she co-founded DreamDry salons to give everyone the chance to “make every day glamorous.” It’s really not blowing hot air when I tell you DreamDry offers a higher level of luxury than one might expect for a $40 blowout — all clients are lent an iPad and watch travel tour pictures during their visit and stylists are constantly being trained on the latest red carpet and runway hair trends.

  • Audrina Patridge got her locks looked after by a stylist named Brad in April 2015.

A-list pair Gwyneth Paltrow and her hairstylist David Babaii paired up with Blo Blow Dry Bar in 2014 to offer their combined expertise on trends, business, and styling techniques. The collaboration with the self-proclaimed first no cuts, no color bar in the North American blow-dry biz  is meant to bring “red carpet glamour to women around the world with quick, convenient, and affordable blo outs.” There are more than  40 Blo Blow Dry Bar locations across the US, Canada, Europe and Asia — find the nearest Blo Blow Dry Bar location to you — or, pick up David’s go-to GOOP, I mean,  goo, to do your hair at home. While helping Gwyneth get ready for the 2009 Emmys, David shared that he massages a small amount of Couture Colour Pequi Oil onto every client’s head for a “mirror like shine” that protects the hair but doesn’t weigh it down.

DRYBAR ($40)

This cocktail-themed, no cuts, no color, salon is a super fun spot to have a peaceful me moment or fun with friends. Choose from a variety of blowout styles (I personally love the Mai Tai) and catch up on your favorite chick flicks that are being screened as your hair gets taken care of for about $40. There are multiple Drybar locations in California, New York City, Texas, Georgia, Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Washington DC.
